Commercial Diving
Commercial divers often face complex and hazardous underwater environments where precision, safety, and clear communication are essential. From low visibility to unpredictable currents and the dangers of working near submerged structures, the risks are significant.
Navigating these challenges requires more than just skill—it demands the right technology to ensure both diver safety and mission success. Water Linked’s suite of advanced products offers solutions that can help you increase your control of commercial diving operations.

Underwater inspections
During underwater inspections, such as checking the integrity of subsea pipelines, offshore oil platforms, or bridge foundations, commercial divers can rely on Water Linked’s products to enhance safety and precision. While divers carry out the inspection work themselves, ROVs equipped with Sonar 3D-15 provide real-time 3D imaging to the surface team, allowing them to monitor the diver’s surroundings and guide them through difficult or low-visibility areas.
The DVLs help the ROVs maintain their position and navigate steadily, ensuring consistent imaging support. Water Linked’s Underwater GPS (UGPS) tracks the diver’s location in real-time, giving the surface team confidence in the diver’s safety and ensuring they remain on course. Additionally, the Modem M16 enables a clear data link between the diver and the surface, ensuring that instructions and safety updates can be relayed instantly during inspections in hazardous environments like dam infrastructure or underwater turbines.

Underwater Surveys
For underwater surveys such as seabed mapping, environmental monitoring, or pipeline route planning, commercial divers can enhance safety and coordination by using ROVs alongside Water Linked’s advanced technology. While divers perform hands-on tasks, the ROVs provide crucial imaging and navigational support, allowing the surface team to observe the diver’s surroundings and offer real-time guidance.
Our underwater sensors can enhance both the diver's safety and the overall effectiveness of underwater surveys.
Diver Tracking
With Water Linked’s Underwater GPS (UGPS), divers can be tracked in real-time, allowing surface teams to monitor their location throughout the dive. This is crucial for both safety and coordination, especially in low-visibility environments or when divers are working near hazardous structures.
UGPS helps ensure that divers stay on track and remain within safe zones, improving both the quality of inspections and repairs.

Underwater Communication
A clear data link between the surface team and divers is essential for successful operations. The Water Linked Modem M16 allows real-time communication between submerged assets and the surface. This ensures that divers can receive immediate instructions and updates while surface teams stay informed of the diver’s progress, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
Water Linked’s suite of technologies, from UGPS to ROV tools and sonar systems, provides commercial divers with the tools they need to work more safely and effectively, making underwater inspections and repairs more streamlined and precise.
Sonar Imaging
In low-visibility conditions, real-time sonar imaging can become a necessity to clearly see what’s going on under the surface. Water Linked’s Sonar 3D-15 provides high-resolution, real-time 3D imaging that allows divers and surface teams to get a clear picture of the underwater environment.
With this technology, people on the surface can help divers navigate, identify inspection points, and assess structures more effectively, even when visibility is poor. An advantage of the Sonar 3D-15 is that from its data you can create custom 3D point cloud models. It also helps that 3D sonar images are often a lot easier to interpret than 2D sonar images.
Generate more orders by appealing to a wider audience
Over recent years, subsea exploration has grown in popularity in many industries. Vehicles have become more affordable, leading to a wider appeal in all customer segments - ranging from smaller corporations to academic institutions who were previously restrained by budget, rather than curiosity.
Now that vehicles have become easier to acquire, the need for affordable, light-weight sensors has grown. Ensuring you can cater for these users' needs is a win-win situation, both for you and your customers
Product features
Small size
Our sensors are all developed to fit on small vehicles as well as bigger ones, without compromising performance.
Light weight
Lightweight sensors allow fitment on lighter vehicles, and leave you with excess payload capacity for other equipment.
Low power consumption
Our smart, proprietary technology leaves more power for your other devices or can help free up payload capacity due to requiring
smaller battery packs.
